He Died For Me and Rose Again!
Featuring Dennis Jernigan Posted on April 27, 2010
I love the work of the cross. I relish the power of the blood. I absolutely, ecstatically rejoice in the power of the resurrection! The cross brought me to die to self. The blood paid my debt and washed me clean. The resurrection made me alive in Christ and offered me a very abundant life. When I see the events of Christ’s Passion, I am humbled when I consider that He endured all that sorrow and pain and suffering JUST FOR ME! What worth that infuses into my heart, soul, and mind! What power that infuses me with to overcome temptation in my own life and to take back all the ground the Enemy has stolen from me through the years. Jesus died for me! Jesus rose for me and offered me that resurrection power! Awesome!
As you go about your day, think about areas of your life where you would like to see resurrection power.
For if we have become united with (Him) in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be (in the likeness) of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with (Him,) in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. Romans 6:5-9 NASB
