Died and rose again and now He reigns above

Featuring Dennis Jernigan Posted on June 25, 2010

Jesus died and put death under His feet where it belongs. Even death submits to His rule and reign! When the Lord first began setting me free I still battled the grip my old life had on me. Gradually that grip began to loosen as I realized the reality that if Jesus had conquered death and had risen again then so could I since He lived in me! If He rules over death then so could I. The death of my past has now been conquered and He has caused me to triumph over that old life…those old thoughts…those old attitudes of death and sin. He rules and I reap the benefits…but only if I receive those benefits as the truth and apply them to my life and thoughts. Jesus died and rose again – and He reigns!
As you go about the day, allow the Holy Spirit to remind you of your victory over the death of your past life whenever the enemy would try to get you to respond to circumstances from an old perspective.
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB
