Terms of Use for Sheet Music

Make extra copies with a clear conscience! Your initial purchase entitles you to 5 copies of each part. If you need extra copies, please purchase them on the song page. The cost is $1 for vocal and instrumental parts, and $0.25 for rehearsal audio tracks -- per song, per copy. Monthly reporting is acceptable. Before downloading your music, please consider the following terms:

  1. Copyright - All of the music downloaded from PraiseCharts is protected by copyright law.
  2. CCLI - It is your responsibility to know the privileges and limits of your CCLI License. CCLI does cover you for the congregational use of lyrics. Additional permission to copy can be acquired direct from PraiseCharts on each song page or at www.praisecharts.com/copies.
  3. Initial Purchase - Your initial purchase with PraiseCharts entitles you to make up to five copies of any individual vocal or instrumental part (unless otherwise indicated). You are responsible to monitor how many part copies are printed.
  4. Permission To Copy - If you need to make more than five copies of any vocal or instrumental part (i.e. for use by choir, etc.), you must purchase additional copy permission. Copies for sheet music are $1 per part, per copy. Copies for chord charts and individual audio files are $0.25 per title, per copy. You can purchase additional copy permission on each song page. Alternatively, you may use www.praisecharts.com/copies to report your use of copies, and you will be invoiced accordingly.
  5. Non-Transferable - Sheet music from PraiseCharts is non-transferable and must not be shared with other churches or organizations. Churches with more than one campus must purchase separate music and/or a separate membership for each campus.
  6. Changing Churches - If you change churches, you are not permitted to take your music with you. Rather, you should register a new account for your new church, and include the new church's CCLI License, then re-purchase the music you need for that church's account.
  7. Lyrics - The lyrics included in PraiseCharts arrangements are copyright protected and cannot be changed without express permission from the copyright owner.
  8. Finale Files - If you purchase a Finale File and make any significant key changes or adaptions to the original arrangement, add the words "Adapted by ________" to the arranger credits below the existing credits.
