Jesus, come! Jesus, come! Jesus, come! Let Your kingdom come!

Featuring Dennis Jernigan Posted on February 18, 2010

"...Jesus, come! Jesus, come! Jesus, come! Let Your kingdom come!..."

Have you ever had one of those days where you just felt overwhelmed? And I'm not talking about overwhelmed with bad things...just the busyness of life. It is in those moments of total mental, emotional, and physical saturation that we need Jesus and His kingdom to come into our lives the most...but we are often too overwhelmed to receive what He offers. It is understandable that we cannot just stop what we are doing all of a sudden - but we can learn to meditate on His presence even as we hurry about our days. As you care for your children, invite the King to care for them with you. As you make that presentation to your boss, invite the King to stand as your Advisor. As you take that test, invite the King to remind you of His wisdom. As you face the storm, invite the King to go through it with you.
You get the idea. Invite the King to go with you through the busyness of your day. This exercise is for us...since He is already there in your every moment of life.

Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift {them} up,O ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in!
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah.
Psalm 24:9-20 NASB
