"...and Your amazing love has set my heart in motion..."
Have you ever had times in your life in which some traumatic experience literally stopped you in your emotional tracks? Hearing of the death of a close friend or relative has that effect. Being involved in a fender bender can have that effect. The devastating ravages of sin can have that effect. Due to the nature of my own sin, learning to trust someone enough to allow them close enough to my heart to experience intimate relationship was quite difficult. I felt absolutely dirty and utterly unlovable. But, the most amazing thing happened. God's love was revealed to me in a manner that left me with no excuses! When I realized He would love me in spite of my sin, that depth of love led me to repent of my sin and led me to freedom!
Today, meditate on the amazing love God has for you.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
