“…Yeshua! Yeshua! The Lord and King of Kings!...”
What is a lord in an academic sense? A ‘lord’ is someone who wields considerable power or authority over others. Have you ever been in a situation where you had a boss or a teacher whose motto was ‘it’s my way or the highway’? How did that feel to have your thoughts and your feelings completely trampled on? Not good, huh? Jesus is Lord whether we submit to Him or not – simply because He is God and that is Who He is. But the cool thing about the Lordship of Jesus Christ is that His will is perfect and He only wants what is best for us. He is a Lord Who loves us and whose lordship is born out of perfect love. We can trust Him and we can know He is intimately acquainted with our every feeling and that He values our thoughts toward Him. He is not afraid of our questions or our ideas. He is supreme King over all kings who have ever lived…and He is a GOOD King! The best!
Spend time today allowing the Holy Spirit to show you areas of your life that may not be submitted to the lordship of the King. What would that area look like if it were truly submitted to His loving lordship?
