Worthy Of Worship Album Story

Featuring Brad Henderson Posted on June 28, 2011

As a worship pastor in a small church in NE Oklahoma, I was blessed early on to get to work with Susan Quintyne. She was then one of the featured soloists with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. She was touring through the region and the date we had open matched when she was available. We put together a local mass choir and presented her to our area. It was and still is one of the highlights of my time in ministry. She was/is absolutely a remarkable singer, worship leader and genuine believer, a true pleasure to work with.

Fast forward five years, I received an email from her husband. He had noticed my interest in arranging many of the Brooklyn Tab offerings here at PraiseCharts and informed me she was looking for an arranger for a new project. My heart jumped a little. In the process of the long phone call, he asked about original material. I sent them a couple of tunes and, long story short and many conversations later, Susan is doing an album, using exclusively tunes I had written. The album is called Worthy of Worship. It includes the songs Faithful and Loving God, Christ Is Our Rock, I Stand Amazed and What a Friend (new versions of the old hymns), I Lift Up My Praise, You Are Worthy, There Is One King, My Confession and The Price of Your Grace.

She came to Oklahoma in mid February after we had finished a much needed and a lengthy studio remodel. She asked us to produce and record the new cd of those nine songs and last week we celebrated that completion of that project here in Oklahoma with a worship service presenting this music to the local church.

What a thrill to finally hear these songs breathed, sung and played into the air for God’s ears to hear! What a thrill to hear Susan Quintyne sing them! What a thrill to be used in a such a real way to help others worship the God Who gave these songs with the very words His Spirit spoke in my heart.

The charts and the soundtrax are available here at PraiseCharts.
