When I consider the works of Your hand I simply stand in awe!

“…When I consider the works of Your hand I simply stand in awe!...”

I love Colorado. I love the mountains and the vastness and the grandeur. When in such a place, it becomes very easy to exult in God’s creation. Easy to worship. But one thing I have to always be careful of is worshipping the creation rather than the Creator! When you see massive peaks all around you and look down several thousand feet to the valley below it is easy to have your breath taken away by what your eyes can see. But none of that would exist without the Creator. And on an even greater scale we see His grandeur every day – even if we do not live amidst majestic mountains. When I consider the works of His hands, I see redeemed lives all around me. To know that the Creator of all that is loves me intimately and has made a way for me to intimate fellowship with Him, those mountains seem as mere mole hills in comparison.
Meditate on the majesty of God’s redeeming love.

When I consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars,
which You have ordained;
What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?

Psalm 8:3-4 NASB
