Like a lone man needs to belong, I need Yeshua! Yeshua!

“…Like a lone man needs to belong, I need Yeshua! Yeshua!...”

As I travel around the country leading worship and sharing my story, I come in contact with so many people who have no sense of belonging. For various reasons, people – even in the body of Christ – feel disenfranchised, often due to just not fitting in. That can be due to their perceived social status, financial class, or any variety of things we allow to separate us. I believe the Lord has put it into the heart of every person the need for fellowship. Why do we see so much gang activity in our cities? Because young people want to belong to something that makes them feel they have purpose and identity. When the body of Christ lets one of its members fall through the cracks for whatever reason, what is that person to do? Where can they turn? Fellowship is vital to life…even if that fellowship is with a small group of people. It is simply not good for someone to be alone.

Be alert today to those around you who seem to be alone. Consider what you can do to alleviate that loneliness. If you are that lonely person, whom can you reach out to today?
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.
For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion.
But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.
Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm,
but how can one be warm {alone?}
And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him.
A cord of three {strands} is not quickly torn apart.
