God Be Lifted High featuring Evalina Ralls

Featuring Frank Ralls Posted on November 16, 2015

“God Be Lifted High (Mary’s Song)” is the latest release from the award winning Ponder Dust Music Group and the imagination of composer/producer Frank Ralls (Disney,Blanca, Take 6). This new arrangement combines the familiar melody of “God Be Lifted High” with elements of the beloved Christmas song, “The First Noel” and lines from “Take My Life” using lush Celtic orchestral landscapes in the style of Celtic Women and film composer Thomas Newman.

image1This beautifully epic sound is juxtaposed against the simplicity and innocence of a child singing the entire song. This is intentional as God’s incredible plan of salvation was juxtaposed against simplicity and innocence through the life of a young girl named Mary. Though fear and confusion crouched at the door of her heart, she made a decision to surrender and trust God’s promise. This beautiful new arrangement expresses the posture of Mary’s heart through her pregnancy and delivery.

Lyrics like “Take my life and let it be…,” “God be lifted high in me…,” and “Noel” all sum up Mary’s incredible experience in a manner that will encourage your congregation to make this Christmas one of spiritual surrender and renewal. This piece fits in very well as an offertory on a Sunday, a feature during a Christmas special event, or a song within your worship set. Full score, stems, stereo backing track, and demo are all available!
