About
David Ruis is a pioneering worship leader and songwriter who significantly shaped modern worship music in the 1990s and continues to influence the global church today. His songs like "You're Worthy of My Praise" and "Every Move I Make" became foundational anthems in contemporary worship. Beyond his musical contributions, Ruis is an author, speaker, and church planter. He has written two books exploring the intersection of worship and justice: "The Worship God Is Seeking" and "The Justice God Is Seeking." Currently serving as the National Director of Vineyard Canada alongside his wife Anita, he leads with a unique focus on integrating creative worship with social justice and community engagement.
His latest album "When Justice Shines" reflects his ongoing passion for connecting worship with practical outreach. The Ruises have been instrumental in establishing Vineyard communities not only in North America but also in Nepal and India, with a particular focus on indigenous communities and those experiencing poverty. Based in Kelowna, BC, David continues to travel internationally as a speaker and worship leader while fostering creativity and leadership development across cultural boundaries.

In the Christian liturgical calendar, there are several different Feasts of the Cross, all of which commemorate the cross used in the crucifixion of Jesus. Unlike Good Friday, which is dedicated to the passion of Christ and the crucifixion, these feast days celebrate the cross itself, as the sign of salvation. Holy Cross Day (September 14, 2021) honors Christ's self-offering on the cross for our salvation.

We worship to express praise for who God is, to exalt Him, and to give thanks to Jesus. We worship to thank God the Father and Jesus, for all He has done for us, with grateful hearts. We worship to draw near to the living God, to spend time in His presence. We worship to experience Heaven on earth. We honor Him with our time, our resources, and who He is. Download chord charts, stage charts, piano vocal sheets, choir sheets, orchestrations, and multitracks of songs with the theme of honoring God.

Jesus showed his disciples that the bread and wine of the meal symbolized his body and blood, given and poured out for them. And on the next day he gave up his life to be sacrificed as “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). As the ultimate Passover Lamb, Jesus freed us from being slaves to sin (John 8:34). Find chord charts, piano sheets, orchestrations, and multitracks.
