Emerging Artist Terms & Application

PraiseCharts offers the Emerging Artist Program to worship artists & publishers seeking professional distribution and promotion for their recorded works. All submissions will be reviewed by members of the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist submissions committee. Your application submission and initial application fee do not guarantee entry into the program. Applications are only accepted January through February, and May through September. Read through the terms and then submit the initial application below.

Terms and Agreement

The following are the Terms of the Agreement for the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Program:

1.    All artists and or publishers applying to enroll in the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Program shall be independent in their business nature. All applicants will submit ONLY original content and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.  Applicant shall, by submitting, indemnify and hold PraiseCharts harmless from and against any claims inconsistent with the foregoing. Application is not considered "submitted" until $50 application fee is paid.
2.    Applicant retains all ownership rights to all submitted content. PraiseCharts will not have any ownership rights to any content submitted.
3.    If accepted, the applicant may submit a single EP of up to 5 songs. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the submitted content is complete and ready for distribution. All songs must be submitted in a single submission. If initial submission does not contain 5 songs, and artist wishes to later add up to the limit of 5 songs, an additional fee of $50 per song will be required. No additional promotion will occur, outside of that which is applied to the initial submission. (Each song over 5 is an additional $125, whether submitted in the initial submission or later.)
4.    All submission fees are non-refundable. PraiseCharts will only give feedback or critique to successful applicants.
5.    PraiseCharts reserves the right to increase or reduce submission fees at any time, without notice.
6.    The PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Program is open to all independent artists, bands and publishers regardless of nationality or origin, who reside in Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand or United Kingdom. If applicant is under 18 years old, submission will require the written permission of a parent or guardian. Please include notation of such in the text box where you would enter digital signature.
7.    Submissions will be reviewed by the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist committee who will determine if the application is accepted.  
8.    Artists and publishers who are accepted into the program will be notified by email and, upon payment of program fees, will be entitled to the following:

  • An Artist profile on the PraiseCharts platform that displays a digital album and downloadable charts , plus links to artist website and social pages.
  • A non-exclusive standard PraiseCharts digital distribution agreement for an EP of up to five (5) songs (requires agreement signature of parent or guardian if applicant is under 19).
  • A chord chart listed in the "Top Free Chord Charts For Worship" and "New This Week" song lists, seen by upwards of 10,000 people each day. (Promotion week determined by PraiseCharts.)
  • Album placement on the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist homepage.
  • Promotion of the Emerging Artist Page in a weekly email to 200,000+ PraiseCharts customers (scheduling of email is at the discretion of PraiseCharts.)
  • An album or song mentioned on the PraiseCharts Instagram and Facebook pages.
  • A song placed into PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Spotify Playlist

9.    By submitting to the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Program, applicant (or parents/legal guardian) agree to accept and be bound by the decisions of PraiseCharts and its committee which are final and binding in all matters. Applicant agrees to be bound by all terms of the PraiseCharts agreement as established herein.
10.    Applicant acknowledges that all content submitted may be distributed to committee members who will be selecting artists and publishers for the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Program and applicant agrees to release, indemnify and hold PraiseCharts, its sponsors, and committee members harmless for liability, damages, or claims for injury or loss to any person or property relating to, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, participation in the PraiseCharts Emerging Artist Program, or PraiseCharts itself.
11.   If an offer of acceptance is extended, a payment of $500 USD will be required before artist is officially accepted into the ‘Emerging Artist Program. Applicant acknowledges that charts and audio will be distributed on PraiseCharts under the Emerging Artist site at no cost to the user.  As always, PraiseCharts encourages copyright compliance and reporting.  If a particular song gains traction, it will have the opportunity to be upgraded to a purchasable song and put into the standard upgrade process that PraiseCharts uses to watch all new and trending songs. Where artist charts have not been created, custom arranging services are available at a per-song fee of $30 USD per chord chart and $95 USD per lead sheet. A song is required to have an audio recording and chord chart as minimum product offering to be placed on the site.
12.    Any submission of payment or content to PraiseCharts represents agreement to the terms listed above.
