About
John Allan still vividly remembers his first piano lesson. The way his heart beat a little faster with every note. “I was just a kid, but I remember God’s presence meeting me there,” Allan says. “From there, I think it’s always been about chasing God in music and trying to find His heart in it.”
Raised in Southern California on a soundtrack of ’80s hits and Keith Green records, Allan’s faith and love for art grew in tandem. His sound blends indie rock and alt-pop with church-rooted lyrics, shaped by his parents’ deep commitment to the local church—a passion he now carries forward as a worship leader. Influenced by artists like The Killers and Bon Iver, Allan sees music not just as creative expression, but as a way to reflect God's heart.
Now signed to Centricity Music, Allan is crafting songs that merge sonic depth with spiritual purpose. His debut single, “Living God,” channels both reverence and energy, aiming to restore lost wonder in listeners. He also contributes to Centricity Worship’s “Keep On Finding More” and penned “Heaven Secrets” to encourage those in ministry to endure with faith. For Allan, the goal isn’t just musical success—it’s to stay faithful over a lifetime, using music as a tool to draw people to God. “Music is the fork and knife,” he says, “but God is the feast.”
