About

Chris is a composer, educator, arranger, and orchestrator based outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After graduating with his ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, he developed a keen interest in composition and soon found himself studying the scores of great films and classical masterpieces. Out of these studies grew a love for composing, premiering his first work for full orchestra entitled NOAH: A Symphonic Poem in university. In addition to studying composition and performance at university, his musical toolbox has been enriched by several music workshops with modern leaders in music written for worship (Bradley Knight, Sue C. Smith, Travis Cottrell, and Jeff Bumgardner). Out of this training comes a deep-rooted desire to create music at its highest level, both aurally and visually. Whether arranging an anthem for his church choir or crafting an original song, Chris displays a passion for musical excellence through the quality of his work.

As a high school music director, Chris enjoys creating music projects that are accessible and enjoyable for all generations, providing opportunities for young and old to unite together in worshiping the one true God. He is the pianist and choral accompanist at Calvary Baptist Church and loves to minister to others alongside fellow musicians who share the same desire to lift high the name of Jesus.

In 2024, Chris published his first large-scale musical, “It Is Written: The Story of Salvation” - a collection of original songs and underscored scripture readings tracing the pages of scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Handel’s oratorios inspired him to develop a contemporary program that presents congregations with a unique opportunity to reflect on God’s unfolding grace.
