Ben Brown is the Associate Worship Pastor of Calvary Temple Worship Center, Modesto, California, assisting Pastor Shawn Nichols with various responsibilities in the Worship Arts Department, as well as directing many aspects of the onsite ministry school and internship. Ben and his wife, Jill, sensed the call of God to Modesto in late 2007. Out of obedience, they moved 2,100 miles across the country, simply to plug into Calvary Temple and begin serving faithfully. Shortly thereafter, Ben was asked to come on board full time as an associate.

Ben is originally from Central Illinois, where the majority of his family resides. Upon graduating from Rochester High School (known for its outstanding fine arts programs), Ben went on to earn a B.A. in Music, Vocal Emphasis, from Millikin University (a prestigious liberal arts school in Decatur, IL, which has produced the likes of Jodi Benson, the voice of Disney’s “Little Mermaid,” as well as contemporary Christian artist Matthew West). In addition to his musical studies, Ben has earned a Specialized License, Music Ministry Emphasis, from Global University. He has 15 years of worship-leading/worship-pastoring experience in churches of Illinois, California, and Florida.

Ben is passionate about facilitating quality worship ministry through excellent music resources. He is a gifted writer, arranger, and orchestrator who feels privileged to share his talents with the greater worship-leading body.
