About

Sarah Emerson is a singer, songwriter from the Seattle, Washington. A descendant of the Charles Dickens family and walking on the heels of her songwriting grandmother Berta Emerson, she has penned lyrics and locally published poems since childhood. She was first noticed for songwriting at her local church where she wrote a song called “What Joy.” It was released and went viral. Inspired by her faith, she ventured to play and sing for people without faith. Her first album was released in 2012, self-written and produced by her friends. From there she played gig's around the city and nearly sold out the Triple Door. She’s an avid supporter of orphans around the world and gave the proceeds of her first project to build a dormitory in Uganda that now sleeps 400 children. Has since then teamed up with a talented pop producer from Amsterdam and released her 1st electronic EP in 2018, Named EMERSON in honor of her dad who passed in 2017.
