We ask to be surrounded, and God sends His mighty waters to immerse us in love. This is our access, and this is our acceptance. It is the heavenly revival of river beds gone dry, awakening dried land through the flowing waters of new life. It is God's greatest desire to use us in this mission for renewal, and as He floods the earth with His presence, He appoints His children as the vessels of His truth. Remembering who God is, His faithfulness in the past, and His promises for the future gives us the confidence to trust God with what's happening right now. We are still human. We still live in a sin-filled world filled with loss, hardships, doubt, stress, and fear. In Matthew 4, Jesus was walking along the seashore. He saw a set of brothers fishing in their boat. He called out to them just as He calls out to you now. Do they go on doing the good work they are doing, paying no mind to the man inviting them to drop everything and follow Him? Or to they take steps of faith, knowing there is something different about this Jesus? Later, Jesus calls Peter the rock on which He would build His church.

Jesus teaches that we are the light to help us understand there are two parts to the mystery of the incarnation. There is the mystery of God becoming flesh in Jesus Christ—the Light coming into the world in human form, in flesh and blood. The 'epiphany' of Christ's birth is also remembered by the journey of The Magi to follow the star to where Christ was born.

Through our lives, God teaches us to follow His word and abide with Him. However, He also asks us to be a light to others, which means sharing our faith with others around us.
