Christy Semsen is a well-known writer and composer of children's musicals. She has published multiple musicals such as "Back to the Manger," "Spend Awhile on the Nile," and "The Kingdom Connection" to name a few. She has a passion for choral music and has spent years volunteering as a director for children's choirs. This passion earned her recognition and in 2009, she was approached by Word Music to pitch her ideas for a children's musical. [3].
