About
Andrea Olson has always loved worship, writing songs for the Church and leading people into an encounter with God’s Presence. She has been a worship leader in various churches over the past several years in the Midwest. In 2010, Andrea started a unique 1:1 mentorship program for young local worship leaders. As more leaders and churches began reaching out for help and training, God grew Andrea’s passion for worship in the Church and in 2014, Overflow Worship was born.
This ministry for Worship Leaders and teams began with the annual Overflow Worship Conference (9th annual event held on October 7-8, 2022). Andrea (along with her family) travels the Midwest going into churches leading worship, training teams, and equipping leaders with practical tools to thrive in their ministry. In April of 2021, Andrea Olson followed up her successful single “Monument feat. Meredith Andrews” with another anthem for the church to proclaim, “God Victorious”. Andrea continues to release new songs for the church to sing, and new resources through overflowresource.com to help ministry teams grow!

As we near the end of summer and launch into a new school year, I have been thinking about ways to make sure that I continue to make the time to pause in His Presence, even as life races on. All of the songs in this set are packed with the truths of scripture, which fill our hearts with peace and bring us to that quiet place. And they are a beautiful declaration for us to sing over our families, communities and the new season ahead. Whether you use this set in its entirety or as inspiration for your own set, may these words remind us to keep our focus on Him in this season, declaring our praise in gratitude for all that He has done and for all that is to come. This set is a mix of new and familiar, including a brand new arrangement of the beautiful hymn, Blessed Assurance. I pray that this set is helpful to you, taking some of the workload off your plate as we launch into this new and busy season. I tried to view these songs through the lens of a father. What would my husband be thinking about on Father's Day? As I thought about it, my heart went straight to declaring truth over our families. The specific words that came to mind were declaration and petition. I know that's what he does over our family every day, as well as my own father, his father, and our lives are a testimony to generations of declaration and petition. Whether you use this setlist in its entirety or as inspiration, my hope and prayer are that it gives an opportunity for the fathers in our lives to be uplifted, reminded of truth and that they have a firm, dependable foundation underneath them, on which they can lean no matter what. As a mom of three, as we approach Mother's Day, I have recently reflected on how my prayers and my worship have changed since becoming a mom. I've realized a greater need for it. Since becoming a mom, I've found myself on my knees more times than I can count. There's something about it that is beautiful and challenging at the same time. I am reminded daily of my need for my Savior. My song, You Already Have is a prayer that I wrote recently, and it is particularly poignant on my journey as a mom. I find myself feeling inadequate in so many areas. And as a mom, I thought that I was never enough of anything for anyone. Inspired by Psalm 46, this song was my reminder that I don't need to worry about coming up short because I lean on a Savior who already has everything I will ever need. When I thought about the kinds of songs that I might put on a setlist for Mother's Day, my heart immediately went to surrender and gratitude. That must be my daily posture as a mom, surrendering my kids, my failures and insecurities, and then living in gratitude for what God has entrusted to me. So, the first three songs are all about surrender, and the last two are about gratitude. I created this setlist to allow us to reflect on all that we can be grateful for as moms (whether biological, adoptive, or foster moms, aunts, teachers or mentors, etc.). It can also be a unique opportunity to minister to those for whom this day is painful due to loss, grief, or disappointment in waiting.
