Even with the armor on, the attacks of the enemy can be overwhelming. He uses circumstances, people around us and anything he can find to hurt us. At a minimum, we see Jesus lonely in the Garden of Gethsemane as his friends abandon him in prayer, and then forsaken on Calvary as he cries out in Matthew 27:46. And Isaiah 53:3 prophetically describes Jesus as "a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief." But Hebrews 4:15-16 reminds us that we have a savior who is able to sympathize with us, even in loneliness, and provide help in time of need.
