Water is the connection between both earthly and spiritual life. From the deep waters of our sorrows to the deep water of His love, we are reminded of His wellspring. It is the birth and transcendence of the earthly condition, as Christ transforms our understanding of limitations and points our gaze to the One with none. Jesus walked on water and proceeded to transmute it into wine. As intended by God from the beginning, water holds the power for both provision and purification.
