About

As a creative design artist whose work is guided by the needs of his clientele, Tom had a desire to break free and do something more God-centered. After a meeting with his head pastor who coaxed him to "paint live while we are worshiping," he brought his paintbrushes and canvas to a service. That initial seed has become a ministry that spans the country painting at conferences, concerts, corporate events and churches of all denominations assimilating his fine art and theater background as well as his passion for worship. From a large arena setting for a Salvation Army conference in Atlanta to a humble, ramshackle church in the red light district of Tijuana, Mexico and from a Chris Tomlin concert with thousands of boisterous teenagers in Boston to painting in front of orphan children in the rural town of Sudai, Russia, Tom has witnessed a great diversity of places and people, but the common denominator is the power of God’s blessing of art to engage and transform hearts and souls.

Live art is about expressing yourself with your whole body and soul and approaching each day as a blank canvas waiting for your creative expression to complete it. It can get messy and mistakes can be made, but with each brush stroke and God’s grace we experience new and vibrant colors, each stroke revealing something transforming and unique. Tom’s hope is that people will not only be affected by the provocative nature of art being created before them, but that it will also open creative areas in their own hearts and minds and cause them to engage life more passionately.

Tom has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from California State University of Long Beach and is a husband of one wonderful wife, father of two beautiful daughters and herder of one furry dog.
