About
Jordan Kauflin has been writing songs for churches to sing since his teenage years. As the son of Bob Kauflin (Sovereign Grace Music), Jordan grew up participating in corporate worship, both as a drummer and worship leader. From early on, he developed a deep conviction that congregational songs should help the church confess their faith, celebrate the Gospel, and fix their eyes on Jesus. One of Jordan’s most-sung songs is “All I Have Is Christ”—a modern hymn sung in thousands of churches, translated into multiple languages, and cherished across the globe. His co-written compositions include “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death”, “I Will Wait for You (Psalm 130)”, and “Come Unto Jesus” – each a top title at CCLI. A member of the Getty Music hymn writing team and the Sing! conference, Jordan also continues to contribute to projects from Sovereign Grace Music. Jordan’s written word has appeared at Desiring God, Doxology & Theology, and Tabletalk, and he regularly travels to lead worship and teach on Christ-centered, Scripture-saturated congregational singing. He has served as a pastor since 2010 and holds an MA in Biblical Counseling. Currently, the worship pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta, Jordan is married to Tali, and they have five children.

Sadness, frustration and anger are emotions not often embraced as inevitable parts of life—or of our spiritual journey. What do you do when you find yourself in a season of lament? There is good news that most of us know but few choose to embrace: lament is a necessary and healthy spiritual condition, an exercise of faith that can lead to eventual joy and peace that words fail to capture. Lament. This long expression of deep pain or sorrow isn't a sign of a *lack* of faith or spiritual weakness. It's a soul-strengthening exercise.
