If you’re new to Reason and want to know more about it, you may want to visit the Reason website directly and explore the product in greater detail. Please visit https://www.propellerheads.se/reason for the most up-to-date information about Reason. An overview video is also available here.
If you plan to download any of our Reason session files, we would encourage you to learn about the software before you open our files. It is best you spend some time learning about all Reason has to offer your music creativity. You can also download a 30-day trial of Reason directly from their site.
*** A fully licensed installation of the latest Reason software is required to use our Reason files from PraiseCharts. Any other version of the software will not work correctly.
Experienced Users
If you’re already familiar with Reason, using our session files will be a breeze. You should be able to open any of our Reason session files and playback on your system just like any other Reason session file. (Please see our System Requirements section below.)
The Purchase Process
Songs that offer a Reason session file will show that option in the product resource list. Once you complete your purchase and download our Reason ZIP files, you will receive the Reason session file in the original artist key. From there, you can modify the track as you wish. Please note: We will not be able to offer support for Reason files once you download them to your system. If you need to, you can always download the Reason session files again by clicking on “My Library” in your account.
System Requirements
Since we have been creating tracks in Reason for several years, it is always best to use the latest version of the software. This will ensure the tracks you purchase play correctly. Reason is not “forward-compatible.” For example, if you have an older version of Reason and purchase a file created after your version, the file may not open or play properly. However, you will be able to open files that were created with or before your current version. For example, if you are running Reason version 8.x, you will be able to open any file created in version 8 or earlier. But not any file created in version 9.

Intel Mac with a dual-core processor
4 GB RAM (8 GB or more recommended for large ReFills or Rack Extensions)
4 GB free hard disk space (program may use up to 20 GB scratch disk space)

Monitor with at least 1280x768 resolution
CoreAudio compliant audio interface or built-in audio hardware
MIDI interface and a MIDI keyboard recommended
