Steve Fee, the band's founder, is one of the worship pastors of North Point Community Church. In January 2007 he released his second independent record, "Burn for You." Steve Fee's band plays music in 4/4 timing consistently.
On September 25, 2007, Fee released their major-label debut under the name Fee titled "We Shine" with INO Records.
In December 2008, Fee went back to the studio to begin production on their third studio album. Evidence of this can be found on the blog of the band's website. The new album is titled "Hope Rising" and was released on October 6, 2009 according to Jesus Freak Hideout's website, and confirmed by the band's blog.
