Worthy Is The Lamb (Son Of God Son Of Man) Devotional

Call To WorshipIn our worship today, we celebrate Jesus, our Savior, who triumphs with unmatched mercy. His sacrifice on the cross, an unparalleled demonstration of love, brings us redemption. The cross, once a symbol of sorrow, has become a sign of victory and grace for us all. Let us raise our hearts and voices in praise, recognizing Jesus as our eternal King, crowned through His loving sacrifice. His reign, marked by power and grace, inspires our deepest reverence. In this time of worship, we honor His majesty and give thanks for the salvation He offers. Let us rejoice in His victory, feel the depth of His love, and embrace the peace He brings.Devotional: The Cross of VictoryIn the tapestry of our faith journey, we often find ourselves woven into themes of victory, redemption, and grace. Today, let's embark on a contemplative journey and explore how these themes resonate with the transformative power of the cross and the supreme sovereignty of our Savior. The cross, once a haunting symbol of agony and despair, now radiates with the brilliance of triumph. It serves as a poignant reminder that through Christ's selfless sacrifice, we have been bestowed with victory over the very chains that once bound us. 1 Corinthians 15:57 rejoices in this divine truth – our victory is not of our own making, but a gracious gift from God through Jesus Christ. As we gaze upon the cross, we witness the embodiment of love triumphing over sin and grace vanquishing despair. It stands as an enduring testament to the unshakable power of God's redemptive plan. However, the cross is not confined to a distant historical event; it is a living, breathing reality that continues to shape our lives. In our daily journey, may we rise as victors, not victims, knowing that the cross has already secured our victory. Let's embrace each new day with unwavering confidence in Christ's triumphant work and profound gratitude for the unending grace that flows from His sacrifice. As we do, we'll discover that the profound truth of Romans 8:37 becomes our lived experience – we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. In light of the cross, we are not just conquerors; we are inheritors of a victory that knows no bounds. 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV) - "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Glory To The Father Devotional

"Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen." (The Gloria Patri doxology, 4th C.) Imagine for a moment you were sitting with the Apostle John on the Island of Patmos during his later years. This is a man who walked and talked with the Saviour - who witnessed such glorious things as his transfiguration, his resurrection, and his ascension. He has lived long enough to grieve the passing of his fellow Apostles - all martyred by enemies of the message of Christ. One wonders if he must have asked himself why he had been chosen to live much longer than the others. But then, John is taken up to Heaven one Sunday and witnesses a grand spectacle of worship where all of Creation joins in with the host of Heaven and the saints of God! He could now pass on to future generations of believers what exactly worship 'in Heaven' looks and sounds like! What if we had been privileged to go with him into this inner sanctum? I believe that we would most certainly be awestruck in the presence of such holiness and would join in ascribing glory to the Lord! Here's the good news… Psalm 100:4 is, in effect, God's offer to do just that – to "enter his gates with thanksgiving and enter his courts with praise." God, most holy, is most loving and desires his people to be in his presence! John's vision is just a foretaste of what worship in eternity will be like. Still, we can embrace that offer now through Christ and find ourselves transported by the Holy Spirit into his very presence in worship. Even if your church doesn't feel like heaven sometimes... know that you are joining in the eternal praise of all creation! Believe it by faith and praise him with all your might! "Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!"" Come Thou Fount (I Will Sing) Devotional

Hymns withstand the test of time for good reason. “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” was written in 1758, but congregations around the world still sing it today. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love—lyrics that will always resonate with the heart of the believer and the age-old battle between our sinful selves and who we are in Christ: “For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” (Rom. 7:18-19) As the hymn says, Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God. Jesus came to us while we were still sinners (Rom. 5:8), not after we had cleaned ourselves up and gotten our acts together. He came right into the middle of our wandering, and that wasn't a one-time event. We are daily prone to wander, but scripture tells us his mercies are new every morning. (Lam. 3:22-23) His kindness continues to pursue us, in spite of us. How your kindness yet pursues meHow your mercy never fails me Because of this, we can tune our hearts to grace, rather than to fear or shame. In Christ, the song from our hearts sings of the kindness God has done for us, by no power of our own and by no performance or act that is worthy. We can rest in a Father who has taken our hearts and sealed them. We are his and no matter how far we wander, his kindness pursues us still. Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal itSeal it for Thy courts above Based on the song Come Thou Fount (I Will Sing) by Chris Tomlin. Come Unto Jesus Devotional

The song Come Unto Jesus beautifully encapsulates the heartfelt invitation from Christ Himself. This invitation is not just to the religious or the righteous but to the weary, the broken, and the burdened. It's a call to find solace in the arms of the Savior. 1. The Sanctuary for the Weary: The world can be overwhelming. Our lives are often filled with challenges, heartbreaks, and moments of despair. But in the midst of this turbulence, there's an unchanging refuge in Jesus. The song reminds us that no matter how heavy our hearts or the burdens we carry, Jesus is mighty to heal. He stands ready to mend our wounds and renew our spirits. 2. The Comfort for the Straying: Many times, we may feel lost, wandering without direction or purpose. In these moments of uncertainty, Jesus offers Himself as the light, guiding us back to the path of righteousness and peace. His voice, gentle and reassuring, reminds us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. 3. The Feast for the Hungry: Beyond our physical needs, there's a deeper hunger within our souls—a longing for purpose, love, and acceptance. Jesus invites us to partake of the Bread of Life, to drink from the cup of His everlasting promise. This feast isn't just about sustenance; it's about experiencing the unending grace and love of the Father. 4. The Call to Surrender: Jesus doesn't just offer rest; He offers a new way of life. It's a call to forsake our old ways, our worldly pursuits, and to take up our cross. In surrendering, we find life in its fullest measure—a life of purpose, joy, and eternal hope. 5. The Promise of Rest: The chorus of the song resounds with a simple yet profound truth: In Jesus, we find rest. Not just physical rest but a deep, soul-satisfying rest that the world cannot give. It's a rest that comes from knowing we are loved, accepted, and secured in Him. As we reflect on this song, let's remember that the invitation to come unto Jesus is not a one-time event. It's a daily call—a reminder that every day, in every circumstance, Jesus stands ready to offer His love, His grace, and His peace. Perhaps today you feel overwhelmed by life's burdens. Maybe you're wrestling with doubts, fears, or feelings of unworthiness. Whatever you're facing, hear the Savior's call afresh: "Come unto me." Lay down your burdens at His feet. Find rest in His love. Experience the joy, peace, and renewal only He can give. Today, may we respond to this loving invitation. Let's come unto Jesus, laying down our burdens, our worries, and our anxieties, and find true rest in His boundless love and grace.Matthew 11:28-30 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Worthy Of Your Name Devotional

It really is unfathomable, if it weren't so true, that the same One who “stood in our place” also “stands by our side,” Even today, even now, wherever we find ourselves today, in the best of times, in tough circumstances, and in every moment in between. Scripture says in Hebrews 1 that Jesus “is the image of the invisible God and the exact representation of his being.” Colossians 2 says he is the fullness of the Deity in bodily form and that he holds all things together by the word of his power. And yet. With all the power of God at his disposal as he walked on earth, fully God, yet fully man, he instead emptied himself. He chose to make himself nothing. Chose to consider his equality with God not a thing to be grasped. He was scorned, condemned, scourged, and killed. He was sinless yet became sin for us, paying the ultimate penalty for all mankind. He gave his perfect, holy life for us, a ransom payment to rescue us from the sin which held us captive and would surely kill us unless the price was paid in full. But that isn't why Jesus is worthy. He is worthy because death couldn't hold him and three days later he was raised to life, by the power of the Spirit, bringing with him any and all who would put their faith in him, that all who call on his name will be saved. There are so many “names” vying for our attention: the name of our boss, girlfriend, husband, or son. The names on our clothing, our degree, or the car we drive. But only One name is worthy of our time, our energy, our affection, our entire lives: Jesus. Scripture says God has exalted him to the highest place, giving him the name above all names. Father, thank you for Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of my faith, Maker, Ransom, and Savior. Let this truth sink into my mind and heart and reflect in the way I live today. I want to live a life of worship that brings you glory, please help me do that today. In Jesus' name, Amen. Based on the song Worthy Of Your Name by Brenton Brown, Sean Curran, and Brett Younker. Go Tell It (This Is Amazing Grace) Devotional

When we consider the fall of humanity that took place in the Garden of Eden—resulting in the curse of death—hope seems distant. But because of His unrelenting love, God the Father set into motion the greatest rescue plan the world has ever known, in the form of His Son Jesus. Imagine for a moment that you've just received this news: You've been found guilty and sentenced to death for crimes you've committed. How do you feel? What do you say? There's no hope. But then you're greeted by an eleventh hour message informing you that the crimes you were guilty of have been completely and irrevocably forgiven. You're overwhelmed with wonder as to who intervened on your behalf and how it all happened. And almost at the same moment, you're bursting with relief, joy, and gratitude toward whoever saved you. This is the good news to be shared at every opportunity. When we receive the gift of salvation, our guilt, shame, and regret are exchanged for life, hope, and redemption—because of our Savior Jesus. Isaiah 52 foretells the salvation and redemption God is sending, proclaiming that this good news will be told on the mountains and all over the world. We see this come to pass in Luke 2 when the shepherds hurry to tell everyone that Jesus, the hope of the world, has arrived! This is absolutely news to be shared! I love that it says: All who heard the shepherds' story were astonished ... Luke 2:18 NLT Challenge Take a moment to reflect on your life before you experienced the love, grace, and mercy of God. You may remember guilt, shame, and regret. But now, let the redeemed of the Lord say so! Let's share the good news of forgiveness and life with those around us as we continue to shine the light of hope that comes through Jesus our Savior. Generations later, let's continue to “Go Tell It”! —Devon Goins Based on the song Go Tell It (This Is Amazing Grace). Faithful Devotional

When you hear the word faithful, what does it make you think of? Does it remind you of a loved one, maybe a parent or a best friend you trust? Or maybe you've heard the phrase “faithful as the sun.” We know the sun will always rise and it will always set. It will be there every day when we wake up. But what happens when those friends fail you? What happens when your parents don't love you the way you need to be loved? Even the sun will someday burn away. The truth of the matter is that here in this life, faithful will always come up short when it's attached to humanity. But a move of true faithfulness was set in motion over 2,000 years ago, when the Savior of the world arrived as a baby. He came down and reached into our suffering to save us from our sin—to bring us hope when we were hopeless. He lived for 33 years and then died on the cross. But even then it wasn't over. He rose from the dead, and when He later ascended into heaven, He left His Spirit here to encourage and empower us. We have never been without the presence of our heavenly Father, even though sometimes it's hard to see it and feel it, especially when we or the people around us fail to live up to the Word. But what we know is that our God loved us so much that He came down to be with us, and He's never left us since. He's always present in our time of need. In fact, He calls to the brokenhearted, waiting to display His glorious love. That is our God. He is the definition of the word faithful. Challenge Think about the depth of God's faithful love for you today, and worship Him for it. —Rob Estevez Based on the song Faithful. Shepherd Boy Devotional

In Shepherd Boy, we witness the incredible mystery of the Christmas story unfold through the eyes of an unlikely witness—a simple shepherd. This young boy, whose life is spent in the quiet hills tending to his sheep, is suddenly drawn into the heart of a divine miracle. With awe and wonder, he watches the night sky light up with the brilliance of a star and hears an angelic choir fill the heavens, proclaiming the arrival of a Savior. The shepherd boy's reaction is a powerful example for us. Though he is “just a boy who watches the sheep,” he doesn't let his humility or lack of status keep him from believing in the miracle he's seen. Instead, he is eager to see for himself, to seek out the Savior who has come for all people. This reminds us that God often calls the least likely among us, the ordinary and humble, to be part of His extraordinary story. As 1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” Like the shepherd boy, we don't have to be someone “important” by the world's standards to be chosen by God. He meets us where we are. When the shepherd boy finally arrives at the stable, his response is one of deep, reverent joy. Seeing the baby Jesus, he recognizes Him as the “Lion of Judah, the King of my heart,” and is moved to tears. He can't keep the experience to himself; he's compelled to testify. This is the power of an encounter with Christ—it brings true, lasting joy that we're meant to share. Jesus is not just a story of the past; He is Emmanuel, God with us, bringing joy to our lives today. May we be like the shepherd boy, willing to leave the familiar and seek Jesus with open, expectant hearts. And when we find Him, may we respond with joy and proclaim to others that Jesus Christ, the Lord of lords, has come to bring peace to our hearts and to the world.

Because He Lives (Son Of God Son Of Man) Devotional

Call To WorshipAs we gather today, let's rejoice in the living hope we find in Jesus Christ. In a world filled with uncertainties, we have a firm foundation in our risen Savior. Because He lives, we can face each day with confidence and peace. In our worship, let's lift our voices and hearts to honor the One who conquered sin and death. His presence is our source of strength, and His love is our song of joy. As we come together, may this be a time to celebrate the living Christ, who walks with us through every moment of life. In His resurrection, we find the promise of eternal life and the assurance of His unfailing love. Let our worship be a declaration of faith in the One who gives us hope and purpose. We gather today because He lives, and in Him, we have everything we need.Devotional: Unshakeable Hope In The ResurrectionIn the midst of life's challenges and uncertainties, there is one unshakable truth that brings us enduring hope: Because He lives, we have reason to live with unwavering faith and confidence. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. It's not just an event from the distant past; it's a reality that continues to shape our lives today. In Romans 8:11, we're reminded that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells within us. This truth transforms everything. Because He lives, we can face each day with the assurance that we are not alone. His Spirit empowers us, guides us, and brings us comfort in times of need. It's a living connection that transcends the boundaries of time and space. The challenges of life may seem insurmountable at times, but in Christ, we find the strength to overcome. Because He lives, our mortality is touched by the promise of eternal life. Every trial, every doubt, and every fear is met with the life-giving power of the resurrected Savior. As we reflect on this truth, let's remember that our lives are marked by the victory of Easter. Because He lives, we can live with purpose, knowing that His love sustains us, His grace redeems us, and His presence never leaves us. Today, let's celebrate the living hope we have in Jesus Christ. Because He lives, our lives are forever changed, and our future is filled with endless possibilities. Scripture: Romans 8:11 (NIV) - "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you."

Son Of Suffering (Son Of God Son Of Man) Devotional

Devotional: Our Compassionate SaviorIn our broken world, we encounter a compassionate Savior who intimately understands our pain and suffering. Isaiah 53:3-5 foretells the arrival of this empathetic Messiah, a Man acquainted with grief and well-acquainted with our suffering. His mission was not one of detachment but of connection. This Savior pursued us in our moments of need, offering grace to the undeserving and embracing those who were broken. His life was a testament to the love of God, showing that He was willing to bear our pain, carry our burdens, and endure the cross to bring us healing and freedom. The profound truth is that, in our darkest hours, Jesus is with us. He doesn't shy away from our suffering; rather, He shares in it. His love compels Him to weep with us, to bleed for us, and to reach out to us in our distress. His ultimate act of self-sacrifice on the cross is a powerful demonstration of His love for humanity. As we reflect on the compassionate nature of our Savior, may we carry this awareness into our daily lives. Let us extend His love to those around us, embracing the broken and offering hope to the hurting. Our lives can bear witness to the Son of Suffering who brings healing, restoration, and salvation to all who believe. Isaiah 53:3-5 (NIV) - "He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."

Joy (To The World) Devotional

Have you ever walked through a season when, despite difficult circumstances, you had joy in your heart? And when your friends asked how you were doing, and you told them all that was going on, you got weird eyes because all they could see was joy? It can definitely be an interesting feeling. This is what I like to call the joy of the Lord. Despite the craziness all around us, with this kind of joy, we can find ourselves unfazed. I'd like to clarify the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is an emotion that comes from something temporary like receiving a gift or winning an award. But joy is from the Lord—it's deeper, like the feeling we get when we give to others or worship our God. There was a season in my life recently when I had finally achieved my dream job—and not just that, but my calling! I had worked so hard for five years for this moment. My husband and I were given one week to pack up all our belongings and move to a different town. What we didn't expect was all the obstacles that would come our way during this one week. There were plenty, trust me. But the one I remember the most vividly was when I dropped off my rental car and noticed that someone had broken into my personal car. My whole car was trashed inside. Papers were scattered everywhere, pieces were missing, and the hood was left wide open. Someone had tried to hot-wire my car. I'll be honest, I was definitely shocked at first. But then I started small: I reorganized all my important papers and placed them in their spot. I shut the hood of my car, finally found the missing plastic piece, and replaced it where it belonged. After all this, I called my husband to inform him and began to laugh. See, despite someone trying to steal my car during a very hectic time in my life, I had joy, because I knew the enemy was working hard to make trouble so I would become frantic and angry. But our God is so mighty and powerful that He showed me what the enemy was trying to do and reminded me that He was taking care of me throughout this whole process. The Word says that “the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10), so there is no need to fear or worry. God gives us joy and peace to weather the storms and trials we face. When we're in His Word and we trust God, He reminds us of this. The next time you find yourself in a difficult season, try first seeking the Lord in prayer or worship. Once this becomes a natural practice for you, His joy will come to you more quickly. Challenge: How are you finding ways to experience God's joy? —Dominique McHenry Based on the song Joy (To The World). Behold Devotional

This song, filled with invitation and awe, calls us to behold Jesus—the King who came, divinity incarnate, breathing the same air we do. It reminds us that in Christ, the Creator of the world stepped into His creation, entering our brokenness and darkness to bring healing and hope. Reflecting on Jesus as the “light that the dark cannot contain” inspires us to remember that no matter what shadows we face, His light will always prevail. The lyrics invite us to “come let us adore Him, for He alone is worthy,” echoing the posture of the wise men, shepherds, and angels who worshiped Jesus at His birth. They recognized that in this child, God's promises were fulfilled. Today, we are invited into that same adoration—not just as a holiday tradition, but as a daily surrender to the One who gave everything for us. Worship is our response to the Father's love, “beyond all comprehension,” a love that sacrificed His only Son for our redemption. As we listen to these words, let's reflect on our own hearts: Are there places where we need to make room for Him? The line “every heart prepare Him room” calls us to clear away the distractions and make Jesus the focus of our lives. When we open our hearts to His love, we allow His peace, light, and truth to transform us from the inside out. In the powerful declaration of the bridge, “We give You all the glory,” we're reminded that worship isn't just something we do for a moment but a lifestyle of glorifying God in every area of our lives. Whether in joy or struggle, praise or petition, we can give Him glory through our actions, our choices, and our hearts. As we adore Him today, let's ask ourselves: How can I give God glory in my life? What can I surrender to Him in worship? Christ the Lord is worthy, and when we offer Him our hearts, our praise, and our trust, we experience the fullness of His love and the freedom of life with Him. May our lives reflect this ongoing adoration, honoring Jesus as our Savior, our King, and our Lord.

Too Good To Not Believe Devotional

Ever feel like you are moving just fast enough that God's goodness, His kindness, and His presence slip right past? We sense Him in the periphery but can't seem to slow down long enough to fully take Him in. We hurry past without noticing that God is near. Part of our hurry might be our efforts to avoid all of the potential landmines so prevalent in the world. It takes vigilance to sidestep divisiveness, leaving our nervous systems locked in and loaded. We might notice our senses roaming back and forth, watching for danger. It is tremendously difficult to enter His rest when our souls are on guard for the next threat. And if we cannot enter His rest, how are we able to experience thankfulness? Sometimes my soul needs a hefty dose of the end goal. I sometimes need a reminder of the end of the story through an extended time in scripture and worship. Settle in with Cody Carnes and Brandon Lake's song, Too Good To Not Believe. I've lived stories that have proved Your faithfulnessI've seen miracles my mind can't comprehendAnd there is beauty in what I can't understandJesus, it's You, Jesus, it's You Sitting down to watch a show, my TV displayed this message - "cannot load content." My attempts to troubleshoot this message went through "ask Google," then "ask the kids," and finally, after an hour of checking the internet, unplugging devices, trying to reload content...I clicked the one word I was a bit hesitant to press -- RESET. Why so downcast oh my soul? Why so disturbed within me?Put your hope in God,for I will yet praise him,my Savior and my God.Psalm 43:5 The reset button clears the memory and reboots the machine forcibly, says Wikipedia. The English Language Learners Definition of reset is: : to move (something) back to an original place or position: to put (a broken bone) back in the correct position for healing: to put (a gem) into a new piece of jewelry I love how sitting with words can shift perspectives making something implicit, explicit. Illuminating the truths buried between letters. Why do I feel so afraid, like some danger is just lurking around every corner? I imagined God's response would be gentle and comforting, like an invitation to sit awhile and rest. And there in the stillness, I sense this question - Are you staying close to His love for you? There is no fear in God's love. His love for us is never far off, but we miss it when we hurry past. The display of His love is evident in beauty all around me. The vibrant changing colors of fall. The smiles of delight on my granddaughter's face. The quiet whisper of peace and the welcome of rest in the morning moments with Him. And in this space, my heart wells up with thankfulness. My soul longs for a reset where I am placed back in a correct position to promote healing. I am even open to some memory wiping if I was honest. You're the wonder-working GodAnd You heal because You love Today, I was relieved that social media crashed, and it felt like a threat was neutralized - at least for the moment. I couldn't help but smile - this is evidence of His love for me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:13-14 Forgetting the things of the past, or at the very least, putting them down. And picking back up the things I know and believe. He is good. His mercies are new every morning. He is near. He is not surprised, caught off guard, or unprepared.
