On Epiphany: The Manifestation
Featuring Dan Wilt Posted on December 29, 2017
“How does the church express the spirituality of being with Christ in his incarnation, manifestation to the world, death, resurrection, ascension, and coming again? How can we as members of the church participate in a present spirituality that is rooted in past events and anticipates a future event? The answer to this question is that we are shaped and formed spiritually by Christ in the church through a worship that continually orders the pattern of our spirituality into a remembrance of God’s saving deeds and the anticipation of the rule of God over all creation.

Why the Cross Is Crucial to Worship
Featuring Bob Kauflin Posted on April 23, 2010
The gospel is not merely one of many possible themes we can touch on as wecome to worship God. It is the central and foundational theme. All our worship originates and is brought into focus at the cross of Jesus Christ.
Evangelism and Worship in the Bible: A Survey
Featuring Daniel Collison Posted on October 13, 2008
The biblical story of worship includes a subplot that draws attention to the relationship between outsiders and the corporate worship experience. The Old Testament refers to outsiders or non-Hebrews as ‘strangers’. The New Testament Church continued the Old Testament usage of ‘foreigner’ (Luke 17:18; Acts 26:11). However, as alignment to Jewish nationality became less of a guide to religious affiliation, terms such as “foreigner’, ‘sojourner’, or ‘stranger’ developed a new theological identity.
The Ministry of Recovering Visual Art in the Church
Featuring Branon Dempsey Posted on March 6, 2008
It happened at the beginning of the 16th century. The Catholic church was based upon the bureaucratic structure of the Holy Roman Empire. The system was externally powerful, but internally corrupt. Reform of the church was called between 1215 and 1545. Nine church councils were placed to hold reform, but inevitably the churches failed to reach significant accord. The clergy was unable to conduct themselves according to church doctrine. As a continuation, the abuse of church ceremonies and practices persist today.
