If you think you will need at least 20 charts in a year, you can save more than 50% when you purchase prepaid download credits.  We have a plan to match your budget needs in order to maximize your savings and simplify your life.

How Does It Work?

Once you have prepaid credits in your account, the prices in our catalog convert to credits.  An orchestration that was $36.95 is now 10 credits.  A lead sheet that was 3.95 is now 2 credits.  A chord chart that was 1.95 is now 1 credit.  If you buy 100 credits, you can spend those on whatever combination of products you need.  Credits are valid for 12 months.  The more credits you buy up front, the more you save.  If you run out of credits, you can buy more at any time.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost and savings are calculated based on three factors: the size of your church, the kind of charts you need, and the number of charts you need.  To find out more, answer a few simple questions in the survey below.  Then, we'll present you with a custom-fit solution where you can evaluate all the options.

Gold and Diamond Credits

Gold and Diamond credits have the same value.  The only difference is that you cannot use Gold credits to buy orchestrations.  If you want to use your credits for orchestrations, you must select one of the Diamond levels.  If you have Gold credits, you can purchase orchestrations at the regular marked prices without using your credits.

The Value Of Your Credits

You can use your credits on all kinds of charts and tracks.  Generally, the credit values are as follows:

The Payment Plan Option

At the Diamond level, we offer a payment plan option so that you can spread out the cost of your credits over a couple of payments.  There is no cost to have this arranged, and you can have access to all your credits as soon as your first payment is processed.  To activate this option, select Payment Plan as your payment option.  Then, contact Customer Support to arrange to have your credits activated with your initial payment.  At this time, payment plans must be processed manually by our customer support team.

The Refund Option

If you purchase download credits and then realize that you do not need or want all this music from PraiseCharts, we do offer a refund option with the following condition: you must pay full price for any charts that you had downloaded with your credits.  For example, if you bought 500 credits for $500, spend 100 credits on 10 orchestrations, and then decided you wanted to refund your remaining 400 credits, you would be refunded the full $500 and then charged the full price for your 10 orchestrations (i.e. 10 x $35), giving you a net refund of $150 (prices stated are only examples).

Your Credits Will Expire

The reason we can offer significant savings with our Prepay & Save plans is because your credits expire after 12 months.  That means that you should only buy as many credits as you will need in the next year.  If you run out of credits before 12 months, you can easily buy more.  Keep in mind that even if you only use 75% of your credits, you are still saving with the songs you got, compared to paying the full price for these songs.  The Prepay & Save plans are designed to offer enough savings that you can have the freedom to download more songs that you really need and still save.  Sometimes, it is better to have more music on hand than you really need, instead of not enough.  Prepay & Save gives you that freedom.

  1. Can I pay by Wire Transfer? To pay by wire transfer, you may instruct your bank to wire the total in US funds plus an additional $15US to the account below.  Be sure to notify PraiseCharts by email once you have made the transfer.

  2. If I have not used up all my download credits this year, are they transferable to next year? Download credits expire one year from your last purchase of credits.  The good news is that so long as you purchase more credits before your current credits expire, the current credits will adopt the new expiry date which is twelve months from the most recent purchase of credits. 
    If you purchase additional credits before your current credits expire, we will give you a 10% bonus of credits. 

    If you purchase 500 credits on Jan 1 and use 400 over 11 months, and then purchase a new 500 credits on Dec 1, your remaining 100 credits will be rolled into your 500 credits so that you have 600 credits that expire the following December.
  3. Do I have to use up my current download credits before I can purchase more?

    You can purchase more download credits at any time.  Download credits expire one year from your last purchase of credits.  The good news is that so long as you purchase more credits before your current credits expire, the current credits will adopt the new expiry date which is twelve months from the most recent purchase of credits. 
    If you purchase additional credits before your current credits expire, we will give you a 10% bonus of credits. 

  4. If I purchase a lead sheet with 2 credits, and then want the full orchestration later, am I still charged a full credit?

    At the Diamond level, if a lead sheet that you purchase for 2 credits does have a full version as well, you have the option to upgrade any formally purchased lead sheets to full orchestrations for 8 credits each.

    At the Gold level, if a lead sheet that you purchase for 2 credits does have a full version as well, you will have to pay the full retail price to download the orchestration.

  5. Do my download credits ever expire? Yes.  Your download credits are good for 12 months from the date of purchase.  The good news is that so long as you purchase more credits before your current credits expire, the current credits will adopt the new expiry date which is twelve months from the most recent purchase of credits. 
    If you purchase additional credits before your current credits expire, we will give you a 10% bonus of credits. 
  6. What is the primary difference between the Gold and Diamond level? At the Gold Level you cannot use your credits to purchase orchestrations  With your Gold credits you can purchase Lead Sheets and Audio Tracks (etc.), but you will have to use a regular payment method if you want to purchase an orchestration.
  7. Can I use my credits for orchestrations? Only at the Diamond level - not at the Gold level.  However, at the Gold level, you can still buy orchestrations at the regular price without using your credits.  To use credits for orchestrations, you have to upgrade to one of the Diamond levels.
  8. If I don't use all my credits within the 12 months, can I get a refund on those that remain? Yes, however we would charge you the full individual retail price for all the songs that you did download.  Then, if there is money remaining, we would refund you the balance. 
    For example, if you bought 500 credits for $500, spend 100 credits on 10 orchestrations, and then decided you wanted to refund your remaining 400 credits, you would be refunded the full $500 less the full price for your 10 orchestrations (i.e. 10 x $35), giving you a net refund of $150 (prices stated are only examples).
  9. How do I keep track of my credit balance? Your balance will be displayed in your User Account panel, which can be seen at the top of your window from any page in the site.
    It is also shown in your account summary, under the black "My Account" Tab on the website.
  10. Can I upgrade between membership levels?

    Yes.  Simply buy more credits.  If you start with a Gold 50 plan, and then buy the Diamond 250, all 300 credits will upgrade to the Diamond level.

    If you downgrade from Diamond to Gold by buying Gold credits, you will finish using the Diamond credits and then start using the Gold credits.

  11. How do I get an arrangement from the Song List into My Downloads? Every song that you purchase and/or print will be automatically available for future access in My Downloads.
    • If you choose a song marked 'free' it will be added to your shopping cart, and you will check out without paying for that song, but it still needs to go through the checkout.
    • If you choose a song that required payment, it will be added to My Downloads as soon as your purchase is complete.
    • If you are a Gold or Diamond level and you use your download credits to purchase a song, it will be added to My Downloads after you confirm the purchase of that song with your credits. My Downloads is intended to be your personal collection of arrangements that you are actually using in your ministry. 
  12. What is the difference between the Gold and the Diamond levels?

    The Gold level is intended for those who generally do not need full praise band orchestrations. The Diamond level is for those who do need orchestrations on a regular basis.  Ten Diamond download credits are equivalent to 1 orchestration, or 5 lead sheets (i.e. a Diamond member can purchase a lead sheet for 2 credits). The Gold level is intended for those who generally do not need full orchestrations. Two download credits are equivalent to 1 lead sheet. People with Gold credits can still purchase orchestrations at their individually marked dollar prices - outside of using their download credits.

    Orchestrations are 10 credits
    Finale Files are 8 credits
    Piano/vocal and Lead sheets are 2 credits
    Audio Trax are 2 credits
    Chord charts are 1 credit
    MP3s are 0.5 credit

  13. What is a download credit?

    The Gold and the Diamond credit levels allow you to purchase a bulk number of download credits up front, and then use those credits to "purchase" PraiseCharts arrangements that you select throughout the year. The overall savings for the Gold membership option can be more than 50% off the individually marked prices.  The songs marked 'free' on the site are indeed free and do not require the use of download credits to print. Gold and Diamond credits can purchase almost any song with their download credits (a small number of songs cannot be purchased with credits).
    Gold level credits cannot be used to purchase orchestrations or finale files.  Only Diamond credits can purchase orchestrations or finale files.

  14. What happens if I use up all my download credits before the end of 12 months, and I still need more songs? You just buy more credits.  The new credits will expire 12 months after your most recent purchase of credits.
    As an added bonus, so long as you purchase credits before the 12 months have passed, we will give you an extra 10% of the number of credits you are purchasing.
  15. What will happen if I let my credits expire?

    The reason we can offer significant savings with our Prepay & Save plans is because your credits expire after 12 months.  If you run out of credits before 12 months, you can easily buy more.

  16. Can I upgrade from the Gold credit level to the Diamond level at any time?

    Yes, you can upgrade from the Gold credits to the Diamond credits at any time.  Just buy Diamond credits, and your Gold credits will become Diamond.

    If you downgrade from Diamond to Gold by buying Gold credits, you will finish using the Diamond credits and then start using the Gold credits.

  17. Does the PrePay&Save membership give me access to every title in the Song List? Almost! There are a few songs that we have had to exclude from the PrePay&Save Membership Plan due to copyright restrictions. Those few songs would have to be paid for individually, not using your membership credits.
  18. At the Gold credit level, can I still purchase full orchestrations? You can purchase full orchestrations but you will have to pay the individually marked price for the full orchestration. Even if you used a Gold credits to purchase a piano/vocal chart of a song, you would still have to pay the full individually marked price to purchase the orchestration.
  19. Can I cancel my Gold or Diamond credits at any point during the year? If you purchase download credits and then realize that you do not need or want all this music from PraiseCharts, we do offer a refund option with the following condition: you must pay full price for any charts that you had downloaded with your credits.  For example, if you bought 500 credits for $500, spend 100 credits on 10 orchestrations, and then decided you wanted to refund your remaining 400 credits, you would be refunded the full $500 less the full price for your 10 orchestrations (i.e. 10 x $35), giving you a net refund of $150 (prices stated are only examples).
  20. If I move to another church, is my account transferable? No. Music purchased at PraiseCharts, whether by cash or prepaid credits, is not transferable from one church to another. Any copies of the music that you make must remain the property of the church you represent with your account.  If you move to another church, you should pass your account login info on to another member of your existing church, and then modify the contact information with PraiseCharts accordingly. Then, you can begin a new account from your new place of ministry.
  21. I want to purchase Diamond credits, but I can't afford the full price all at once. Do you offer a deferred payment plan? At the Diamond level, we offer a payment plan option so that you can spread out the cost of your credits over a couple of payments.  There is no cost to have this arranged, and you can have access to all your credits as soon as your first payment is processed.  Just select the credit level you want and create the invoice.  Then either call us with credit card or check information, or fax the check (US customers only) or credit card information with the invoice to 1-800-695-6293.  We will process the first payment and give you access to your credits.
  22. If I purchase the Piano/Vocal version of a song, and then decide I want the full orchestration at a later date, do I have to pay full price for the Full orchestration version? If you purchase a Piano/Vocal version for $5.95, you will be able to upgrade that song to the full orchestration version at a later date for $31.00 ($36.95- $5.95). However, if you have Gold credits and you download a Piano/Vocal version for credits, you will still have to pay the full $36.95 to upgrade to the full orchestration version of that song. If you have Diamond credits and you have already purchased a lead sheet version of a song, you will be able to upgrade to the orchestration of that song for 8 credits. Diamond credits can also purchase lead sheet versions of songs for 2 credits each.
