Do we need a CCLI membership to use the songs at PraiseCharts?
Yes. Legally, you need a CCLI license to project and copy words or words/chords versions derived from our arrangements if the songs are registered under CCLI. Some authors who make their songs available for free through PraiseCharts can receive indirect remuneration for their work if you report your use of their songs with CCLI. If you are an individual using the music for personal private use only, and the site asks for your CCLI license number, and if you do not have a CCLI number, then you just need to check the box that says ‘I don’t have a CCLI number’ and in the ‘organization’ field, just put ‘individual’. For more information on complying with copyright law, you can go to CCLI.com
