Yeshua! Yeshua! We need Your saving hand!

“…Yeshua! Yeshua! We need Your saving hand!...”

Sometimes we just need someone to help us up when we fall down, don’t we? But something I have discovered about myself (and hate to admit) is that I do not want to appear weak so I will often limp through a hard time without asking for help – just so no one will think of me as a weakling. I think we call that pride! What I think of as weakness God can use as power. It is when I humble myself and seek help that the person I seek help from does not see my request for assistance as weakness at all. This was brought home to me several times while raising my own children. As a dad, I want my children to see me as someone they can depend on. But I discovered that my children learned valuable life-lessons when they saw me express my inadequacy – and saw how I laid that weakness before the Lord. We all need one another. The moment we stop needing a Savior is the moment we allow pride to separate us from THE Savior.

Spend time meditating today on what ‘when I am weak, then He is strong’ means to you.
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
