Who I am I Owe to You
Featuring Dennis Jernigan Posted on April 27, 2010
Isn’t it funny how mankind gets so caught up in how great mankind is? The cultural zeitgeist (spirit of the age) always leans toward man as being the greatest, relegating those who believe God is the utmost to the outer fringes of lunacy. That is the scheme of the enemy, to get us so focused on ourselves and our own abilities that we forget God and wind up in hell…both in this life and the next. Healthy, abundant life stems from an awareness that we have not made ourselves. We were created by and for God, called to exude His greatness through our very existence. Reality is that I am nothing without Him and powerless apart from Him. If man is the utmost then existence is mere futility and if man is the most powerful then what have we to look forward to but dying in utter weakness? Peace, health, joy, and contentment come from knowing who we are and Whose we are…and we owe everything to Him Who made us.
Ask the Lord to show you ways He has blessed your life that you have never thought of before. Spend time thanking Him for all He has done to get you to where you are.
Know that the LORD Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
(We are) His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Psalm 100:3 NASB
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 NASB
- Poured from the vein of Redeeming Love
- When is He coming? Morning, noon, or night?
- Died and rose again and now He reigns above
- He is coming. Make a Way...
- He is coming on a horse of white
- The King is coming. Prepare for Him the way...
- And Everything I think I Need I Gladly Bow Before Your Feet in Glory to my King!
- Every Hope and Vision! Every Dream!
