Mighty is the name of Jesus!

"...Mighty is the name of Jesus!..."

The name Jesus means literally "Jehovah is Salvation". I love the name of Jesus and on more than one occasion have cried out His name when I needed rescue. Right after my daughter, Anne, was born, I was running errands in our little Ford Pinto, during a snowstorm.  As I went across the North Canadian River the little car began to spin around, out of control. Without hesitation I began to call out at the top of my lungs, "Help me, Jesus! Jesus, help me!" Just as I was about to slam into the side of the bridge and plummet over the side I was hit broadside by a truck that instantly stopped my slide! On another occasion, I was confronted by an angry individual who was very upset that I had the nerve to tell others they could be free from homosexuality. What did I do? Called out to Jesus and before I knew it, others were at my side to assure my safety. I call out to Jesus as my salvation in the small things as well. He is concerned that we know His salvation in every area of our lives.

Where do you need to see His salvation today? Do not hesitate to call out to Him throughout the day. He is there.
