Like raw clay needs a potter

“…Like raw clay needs a potter…”
I don’t know about you, but when I was a young man I knew EVERYTHING! Funny how time, age, and experience leaves you with a far more humble picture of your own reality! The older I get the less I know! The older I get, the wisdom gained through my experience with knowing God leads me to humbly start each day with the truth: I need Him desperately. Just as time and experience tend to shape us into who we re, the greater reality is that the Lord in His great wisdom uses every bit of that time and experience to shape us into the image of Christ. Reality is that we all have need of His tender, shaping hand. The only way to keep from becoming hardened and embittered by life’s circumstances is to place our lives and our circumstances into His hand and allow Him to mold us and shape us. Humility keeps us supple and pliable in the hands of the Master Potter.
Meditate today on how the Lord might desire to use your circumstances to mold you into the image of His Son.
But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.
