Like a child needs the love of a father

I see firsthand every day of my life the devastation dealt to our society by the lack of a father’s presence. Without the presence of a father figure, children are immediately at a disadvantage. When we come to Christ and He gives us a brand new identity we also have access to the heart of Father God. I have seen men who never knew the love of an earthly father who struggled with their worth and identity for years suddenly receive the power to overcome the deficits left by the lack. I have been privileged to watch women who struggled with their identities suddenly transformed from outcast to accepted – all because of the love of our heavenly Father. Having a perfect Father does the heart and soul good. Children suffer without a Father. No matter how old I get I will never stop being His son…and will never stop maturing in Christ as a result.
Meditate on what God as your Father means to your life today.
Just as a father has compassion on {his} children,
So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
