That's why;
"Dan's original PraiseHymns and PraiseCarols studio arrangements have become some of the most popular titles in the entire PraiseCharts catalog."
...we have both, and will be checking the rest of this one out as well.

Grabs you right from the start and brings a freshness to the first words. Doc [our drummer] will have a blast as usuall. Also, the horn parts hit in the sweet spots. Love the layout - v1v2 then the ch. and v3 is alive with anticipation due to the dynamic shift.
Hymn to Song transformation accomplished.
Thanks Dan!
...now listening to "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God"... man, this is addictive.

The arrangement is fresh and powerful, but the drummer needs to be tamed down a bunch, very distracting and uncomplimentary, as with most modern CCM. Ron Kenolly would do a great job of this as well. It becomes necessary to boogie to the music rather than stand tall and march. It seems we should continue to work toward freedom, for sure, but not disrespect. i challenge you to keep this in mind with your "patriotic" renditions.

My focus and intent with this was the "Hallelujah" aspect of this classic text. Certainly, there is a time for solemn recognition of the sacrifice of our soldiers, but there is also a time for the jubilant celebration of what that sacrifice brought about, amen? Hopefully the joy that we naturally express in that word for (jubilantly) "Praise Yahweh" is reflected in this arrangement.

Clearly, a old hymn with an edgy beat like this is not going to appeal to everyone. Just for interest sake, what "age group" are you in? What is cool about PraiseCharts is that with many of the hymns, we offer many different versions of some of the most popular hymns. People can find what fits their congregational worship style and get exactly what they need.

Not for the average praise band. This arrangement does a good job of adding the effects of the brass, rock organ and strings to emphasize different the lyrics talking about God's Glory. The drummers will LOVE it. Thanks for keeping it in a singable key. Reminds me of "Truth's" arrangements in the 80's and 90's.
