I've printed it off for the sound technicians to read. We struggle because none of our sound team members have had any ear training and that makes it extremely difficult to get a really good mix. They know the equipment but not how to listen and create that sweet blend, or when to give that "lift" on the second chorus to make it a little stronger. Have any ideas??? Or do you visit churches and help them with their mix??? Let me know.

This way they would have more time to play around with the equipment which they don't really get to do on Sunday mornings. It is also good for the sound technicians to be able to accept positive criticism, everyone can learn from it.

Sound shaping or coloring can only be a success if the techs are given proper ear training for what "good" sound is supposed to sound like. A person may have the knowledge to operate Audio reproduction equpment but, may not have a good ear for "what sounds good". Ear training is most vital
