Most people do believe in God, but like the early Israelites, because we cannot see Him, it’s harder to reconcile the peace of God in a world of hate.  On the contrary, faith is the evidence unseen. We do witness God’s love and compassion through the Word and see his effects through people, events and prayers. This world is definitely in pain and we see horrible events around our country and world. But as a people, where is our hope?

Do clothes really make the man? We've heard this phrase time and again, yet the return on our investments cannot reciprocate our human need. How often God reveals and conceals us in His love moment by moment. His desire is to wrap us in his belt of mercy and grace to draw us in His loving kindness. Is he drawing you? Are you responding?

    The Leader

What’s the greatest challenge you face as a worship leader? You might think it’s deciding which songs to sing, getting along with your pastor, receiving feedback from church members, or leading a team of unorganized, independent musicians. Nope. Your greatest challenge is what you yourself bring to the platform each and every Sunday. Your heart.

The Scriptures say that God’s mercies are new every morning. We experience the freshness of God each day because He is working within us. God constantly brings us to new places as His desire is to mold us into the image of Christ. How do we respond to his call when part of us wants to move ahead, yet we want to stay in what is familiar?

In this fast-paced life, what is our significance that calls us to listen to the sacred rhythms of God? What Old Testament lessons can we draw upon that instill the simplicity of life in Christ in our current reality?

    God's Presence in Our Lives

Christians can act like atheists by ignoring the presence of God.

    God Our Provider

It's just plain crazy. Everywhere we look in the US we are saturated by today’s news of rising gas prices, food production concerns as well as the latest mud slinging contest among presidential candidates. True we are living in some critical times; but as we have the remaining resources, can we do more to help provide for others in the same way how God provides for us?

    Worship With More Than Song

Songs of worship are most powerful when they describe God's character, position, and attributes.

I’ve heard several worship leaders and authors use the phrase, “Worship is a lifestyle, not an event.”  The first time I read that, I thought, “Yeah!  Right on!  I agree with that one!”  But the more I got to thinking about it, the more I wondered how I could apply that to me.  What is a “lifestyle” of worship?

    The Rocks Will Cry Out

Jesus was not overstating the fact that the stones would cry out if worship did not take place.
