Hear from Rick Muchow in answering today's question: I had to remove a band member for moral failure, but have been
accused of being judgmental. Some are saying 'we all sin and have
fallen short of the glory of God.' Could you clarify what "moral
failures" would warrant removal and what steps do you take to restore
the individual after the fact?
Worship Leaders - Quality or Quantity on the Worship Team?
- By Bob Kauflin
- Published October 14, 2008

- Unrated
Question: We currently have four worship teams, giving 15-20
people a month a chance to lead in music. We’ve
discussed cutting the number of teams down to one or two that would be
much more musically adept; the downside of this is that many “moderate”
musicians would no longer have a chance to share their musical gifts as
a part of worship. We want to be sensitive to everyone, yet provide the
highest quality music possible for all of the obvious reasons. What
biblical principles should we use in determining which direction to go?

Hear from Rick Muchow in answering today's question: We
are looking at starting a second service. Is there a resource that you
would recommend? Do you have suggestions that would help prepare to
start this service? Ask Rick...Reaching the Unsaved During a Wedding Service?

Hear from Rick Muchow in answering today's question: A
young couple in my church asked me to perform their wedding. Part of
the Groom’s extended family will be coming from a Muslim country. The
couple's desire is that the gospel be shared in the ceremony because it
might be the only time that the extended family hears it. Do you have
any input as to what wedding songs we could include to make the service
evangelistic?
Ask Rick...Health Issue Affecting The Team?
- By Rick Muchow
- Published April 22, 2008
- Questions & Answers , Ask Rick Muchow

Hear from Rick Muchow in answering today's question: I've served as volunteer minister of music for many years at our church under the same Pastor. One of the main musicians for Sunday morning worship is the Pastor's wife. In recent years, her health has declined. We do not practice for service. I think we should but don't know quite how to address it with the Pastor. He is one of her greatest ‘fans.’ How would you handle this issue?
Ask Rick...Our Praise Team Is Fully Stocked?

Hear from Rick Muchow in answering today's question: Our Praise
Team is fully stocked at this time. What do I do about other musicians
and singers who might be interested? While I want to reach out to new
talent that may be in our church, at the same time we have a
worshipping, wonderful, dedicated team with all the players and singers
we need right now. Our service is growing by leaps and bounds... we are
SO blessed. I think I am afraid of looking closed minded and closed
hearted toward others who might be interested in joining. And if you
tell me to start a Praise Choir I'm going to run away-- that really
frightens me! But then again, it may be time to "build a bench"--or
should I leave well enough alone?
