As the New Year approaches, let's take some time to rememer what we are doing in Worship Ministry and that the most important goal is to exalt the One True and Living God.

If we're actually going to worship, our attention is to be focused on Him. We may make fine and true—even biblical—declarations about ourselves, but if it is not focused toward the Lord, dare we suggest that it is worship?

It's an interesting experience to encounter life's flat tires that affect your outlook on future events. Sometimes we often lose our love for the things that we are currently involved. When our flame grows faint, God is near to rekindle the fire. All we need is to draw near to Him. Let's listen to John as he takes us down one of his journeys to offer us insight on not losing our flame and love for worshiping God.

We have a world full of music artists who shoot for the stars but instead, wind up in the clouds or on the moon. Many emerging and veteran songwriters have shared their music world-wide, but very few arrive in the land of opportunity. What does this mean for the Church; what does this mean for Joe The Artist?

Those of us who pastor or lead in musical expressions of worship have the important responsibility of guarding ourselves from distractions.  Is there an audio issue?  Are the musicians struggling with a song?  Does it feel like you're just mindlessly "going through the motions"? 

It is important for us to understand just what abilities, gifts, and skills are in terms of the worship ministry.  It's more than semantics.  There are differences between these words although we frequently hear them interchanged.
