We'd like to introduce you to Jay and Helena McNeill, who are new to the PraiseCharts family.  Two of their albums are available for purchase on the site.

    Christmas with David Glenn

Listen as David explains about his Christmas album and how the tour benefits World Vision.

    Wrong Notes

We may play and sing flawlessly but live recklessly. This will not be winked at by God.

It’s the perfect example of my strength being my weakness. And the most unfortunate part of it all is that I’ve often excused it as others around me gush words like, “I just don’t know how you do it. You have a husband, four young kids and a dog. You’re a worship leader, choir director and song writer at an exploding multi-venue church. You travel to teach or lead from time to time. And yet you never seem to miss a beat”.

    Attraction

Have you heard someone say that the music or preaching or programs attract people to church?

We are complex people with complex emotions. Turning our emotions over to the Lord can have a significant effect in our relationships. Even more so, God is able to guide our emotions that deepen our walk and worship in Him.

    Worship Coming and Going

Worship can be a legalistic activity that consists in outward acts seen at certain times and places. Actually one could argue that unless worship is done “in the Spirit of God”, it is not real worship at all.

    Excellence In Ministry

When you think about it, excellence just boils down to one thing...attention to detail.  When you are doing everything you can do to make sure every aspect of your ministry is able to be well received, it really means that you just took the time and effort to work out the little bugs.  In most ministries (not all) the big bugs are pretty much non-existent.  But it's when we tackle the seemingly "insignificant" things that people take notice.

Is there a song that still makes your spirit soar every time you hear it?

Gotta love this - PCLive Contributors take another stab at a very familiar topic. Worship Leaders constantly have to stay “on” as they are always investing into people, schedules and their families. When all is said and done, where is the staff member: spent, tired, burned out? Some leaders are at this stage, others may be nearly approaching. How do you stay grounded as a worship leader to prevent the abyss of burnout?
