Song Quest

One of the things we're excited about at PraiseCharts is the opportunity to invest into the future of song writing for worship.  Songs that are in the top of the CCLI charts have been around for a long time and have become well established in the churches all around the world.  But far out in front of those songs is a new wave of music not yet discovered.  Some of these songs are written by well known song writers and worship leaders.  Some of these songs are written by people you have never heard of, because they have never been "signed" by one of the major music publishers.

In almost all cases, the songs featured in Song Quest have not yet had wide exposure around the world.  Through Song Quest, we want to give you a taste of the future.  More than just giving you a taste, we want to invite you to engage in a dialogue about these songs.  Feel free to listen to them, and give us your feedback.  In most cases, the feedback will go directly back to the artist.  We'll keep an eye on your feedback, and if there is enough demand on one of these fresh new songs, we'll create a chart and feed it into our main catalog at PraiseCharts, where it can be available to download, print and play.

Song Quest Submissions
If you would like to submit a song for consideration in Song Quest, email an audio demo (MP3 format), lyrics, and chart (if available) to songquest@praisecharts.com.  There are no guarantees that we will post them on Song Quest, but we can guarantee that we will listen to them for consideration.  Please send one song per email.  Please do not submit songs that you have not written.  If possible, please include a short biography and headshot, and the story behind the song.

Song Quest: The Great God (Chris DiNaso)

Inspired by Psalm 95, this is a call for all to worship and bow down before the King, our Great God and Maker, and to enter into His rest.

New from Klaus, The Battle Hymn Of The Republic is a free MP3 download along with a special prayer by Dutch Sheets. You will be moved by this fresh arrangement of this great American anthem. Klaus has made this download available as we pray for our country during this pivotal time.

    Mighty Jesus (Jon Althoff)

We love this slow, soulful song of confidence in our savior Jesus Christ, from worship pastor Jon Althoff.   Please listen to it, and let us know what you think!

    Amazed (Peter Dupre)

Check out this great song from Peter Dupre and leave us your feedback!

    You Are (Chris DiNaso)

Worship leader Chris DiNaso sent us this lively  song of praise...let us know what you think!

    Angels

Michael King of Breathe Deep brought us this fun, energetic song.  Enjoy and please leave us your thoughts!

Come To My Heart (Toby Baxley)

I would like to share another song of praise for the Christmas season. This one may be effective as a song of response or commitment. It is my interpretation of the hymn, "Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne" that was first published in 1870. I hope you enjoy it.

    I Choose You

“For the glory of thy kingdom, I will honor Thee, Lord”…these words are the first line of I Choose You and were derived from a prayer I had been speaking to the Lord from my heart.  At the time, I was a new mother and was experiencing the array of emotions that come with the territory of tending to a precious newborn baby.   The responsibility was awesome, but I wanted more than anything else to honor God in my role as a mother and as a Christian role model for my daughter, Ava.  While Ava napped, I would often take the opportunity to sit at my piano and spend time in worship and in the Word.  It was during one of those times that I sat down and wrote I Choose You.   It was almost as if the words and melody had been stored up in my heart and were literally poured out onto the pages.  It was a true gift from God to be able to craft together an offering of praise that I felt conveyed what was in my heart during those tender moments.  I sing this as a prayer most of the time and hope that daily I can choose Christ and honor him with my life.

Ready To Fly (The Zach and Sarah Blickens Band)

The Zach and Sarah Blickens Band has done it again...they've wowed us now, with an insightful, soulful tune about what we all as Christians have to look forward to, and what we are leaving behind.

    You Are (Christopher Wright)

PraiseCharts Live readers have been big fans of Christopher Wright's previous submissions and we're sure this vibrant song will be no exception!
