Many of you may know by now, but the daughter of Steven and Mary Beth
Chapman was struck and killed by an SUV yesterday as she was playing in
the driveway of their home in Tennessee. My "daddy heart" is broken for
his family in this time of terrible loss. I really don't know what else
to say, except please read the article and pray.
Two of Chapman's own songs come to mind. My prayer is that the Father will use the words to these songs to, once again, bring His healing to this family:
"Cinderella"
So I will dance with Cinderella, while she is here in my arms,
'Cause I know something the prince never knew;
I will dance with Cinderella, I don't wanna miss even one song,
'Cause all to soon the clock will strike midnight,
And she'll be gone.
"With Hope"
We can cry with hope, we can say goodbye with hope,
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end;
And we can grieve with hope, 'cause we believe with hope,
There's a place where we'll see your face again.

Thanks Toby for the word. This surely is a tragedy for any parent and family. God proves again through His Word and strength that he sings over us, we then are able to dance under His compassionate care. He never misses one song. How profound it was to have Steven write this release in the pre-season of this event. It shows a faith and willingness on his and his family's part to constantly put self aside and seize every moment - pointing to God's glory.

I am so heartbroken for them, and they are in my prayers. Thank God that we know the separation won't be for long, and that life here is barely the blink of an eye compared to how long we will spend together in Eternity!

I feel their brokenness and despair in my spirit. I pray: "Father, I lift this precious family up to you today that they will find comfort in you at this time, thank you for your promise to comfort those who mourn. Father let them know Your peace right now, give them strength in this very difficult time, surround them with Your love. May they know that You are ever with them, heal their brokeness and bind their wounds, in Jesus Name, I pray." From NZ
