Rick Branek
Rick has led worship at different size churches since 1985. His specialty focuses on worship choirs and vocal teams. Rick has worked with acoustic driven bands and produced several Broadway style musicals; he is also a trumpet/drummer by trade. Rick currently is the Worship Pastor at The Fellowship of San Diego, www.fellowshipofsd.org. You may contact Rick at rick@fellowshipofsd.org
I am constantly looking for ideas to make our stage musically functional while 'freshening' up the stage by relocating the band and vocals to different areas on the platform.
What works for you at your church?
How often do you change up the stage (weekly/quarterly)?

We change our scene design for each series roughly 6-8 weeks each. Currently we are doing a series on The Beatitudes called "The Secret To Happiness"... we created a 'secret garden' look back wall painted to look old English with cracking plaster, expose rock, ivy vines. Accented with lattice and silk/plastic greenery all over the place. Band is skirted with 2' high mini-walls made from lattice. Focal point is a sitting area with 2 cushy looking chairs, table and white lillies. It all looks great with top and back light in yellow and green. Dave Bollen, Twin Cities Church - Grass Valley CA
