Worship is comprised upon the Person hood of
God. When we neglect the cornerstone of
our understanding of who God is, the architecture of our worship will be
without its proper footing. Knowing the nature of God is the foundation of
worship. In 1Cor. 3:11 Paul says,
"no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid which is Christ
Jesus." Our knowledge of God is built each time upon the foundation of Christ
when we spend intimate time with Him. Our lives are built on the Rock of
Christ, as we ourselves are being made like Him – which is God's deepest desire
for man. We are spiritual stones as 1Peter 2:5 declares; we are being built up
as a spiritual house, "to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God
through Jesus Christ."
