Should I Let Them Go?

We all face it as leaders in churches.  If you haven't, you will.  A member of your worship team reveals a hidden side to their life.  A side that involves a relationship outside of marriage, an unmerited living arrangement, or other unexpected life consequences.  What do you do in these situations?  How do you handle them when you feel unworthy every time you step onto the stage yourself?  It's not easy.  Ministry never is.

Training Up Other Worship Leaders

Have you ever wanted to take a vacation and not worry about whether your ministry would fall apart before you got home?  Having other capable leaders in place is the answer to having less stress, longevity in ministry, and leaving a legacy that honors your Heavenly Father.  Here's how to train up such leaders.

So In Love (Kevin Pledger)

Here is a new song worth listening to that Kevin Pledger sent in for Song Quest. Kevin says this song has been a favorite at his church. Listen to the full audio demo and let us know what you think.

I’ve heard several worship leaders and authors use the phrase, “Worship is a lifestyle, not an event.”  The first time I read that, I thought, “Yeah!  Right on!  I agree with that one!”  But the more I got to thinking about it, the more I wondered how I could apply that to me.  What is a “lifestyle” of worship?

One (Kevin Pledger)

Listen to the full audio and let us know what you think of this song from Kevin Pledger. Here is the background to the song, as written by Kevin: My Pastor was going to be giving a message on Ephesians 4.  While reading the passage, there were just so many times that God was calling His church to unity using the word "one."  I began humming what would later be the Bridge/Ending to the song thinking that it would be the chorus.  I wanted to use as many of the mentionings of the word "one" as I could from this passage.

Come And Dwell (Kevin Pledger)

Here is a new song worth listening that Kevin Pledger sent in for Song Quest.  Listen to the full audio demo and let us know what you think. Here is the background as written by Kevin: I wrote this song in 2006 as I was about to go to the Integrity Worship Songwriters Retreat.  It was my submission that year.  This song literally comes from my prayer to my Heavenly Father.  I love picturing Him as a Dad.  Anyone can biologically be a father, but it takes a special man to be a Dad.  That's who God is to me.
