Ear Training

The issue that we may battle with is the ability to hear with our ears and also with our minds. It is to the fact that God, the great creator actually speaks to us causes us to carefully listen.

Once  we have a healthy worship ministry, it is important to maintain that health.


The challenge for leaders in worship ministry is to help people of varying skills and abilities plus differing musical tastes to play and sing with excellence.

The important thing to remember is that we have a responsibility not to just fill positions in ministry but to connect people with the ministry that they will thrive in.

The Dynamics of Worship

Strong musicians not only play the fancy riffs or easily move from key to key.  They also have the ability to creatively take people along a journey of dynamics.

Just Another Song? Just Another Year?

As the New Year approaches, let's take some time to rememer what we are doing in Worship Ministry and that the most important goal is to exalt the One True and Living God.


Distracted Worship

Those of us who pastor or lead in musical expressions of worship have the important responsibility of guarding ourselves from distractions.  Is there an audio issue?  Are the musicians struggling with a song?  Does it feel like you're just mindlessly "going through the motions"? 

Connections continued between (Moses') Tent of Meeting and the Tabernacle of David. 

Someone once asked me what to sing during special times of the year.  After all, there are not many songs that have been written for Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, and the rest of the holidays. Christmas, on the other hand, seems simple when it comes to choosing songs, but has its challenges...
