Could this have been what Jesus was after all along?  And could it be what he is always after in our lives when we go through difficulties

Nothing is more pleasing to God and inspiring to others than a Christian worshiping with these instruments.

God has a special and unique home. It is a house constructed of his people. Yes, I said “of”, not “by”.

We may play and sing flawlessly but live recklessly. This will not be winked at by God.

Have you heard someone say that the music or preaching or programs attract people to church?

A few years ago, I asked a friend to explain what a song meant.  It was a popular worship song that most would remember singing. The words painted a beautiful picture but my friend was unable to tell me what it meant. He was frustrated and so was I.

Along with hymns, years ago, congregations were singing tunes written by Ira Stanphill, Ralph Carmichael, and Bill Gaither.  From Keith Green, Rich Mullins, Andrea Crouch to Paul Baloche, Chris Tomlin, and Lincoln Brewster, the church has been blessed with many incredible writers of worship songs.  And all this within a span of only 40 years.

The Israelites recognized God as the only Sovereign Creator God. The metaphor used to make this claim was the metaphor of God as a jealous God.

Worship can be a legalistic activity that consists in outward acts seen at certain times and places. Actually one could argue that unless worship is done “in the Spirit of God”, it is not real worship at all.
