I received this song the beginning of my freshman year of college in 2003.  I truly consider it a song received from the Lord.  I can think of no life dilemma or tragedy which inspired it.  But I can say that it has provided an incredible message and reminder to me throughout the years.  I love the chorus lyrics, "The songs that I sing, the words that I speak, are for your fame, to bless your name, in my success, Lord, remind me of this:  it's all about You."  As a worship leader, speaker, pastor, or whatever in our mega-everything culture, the message is a relevant reminder to us to count all things lost as gain and deny ourselves--not promote ourselves.  The song was used for 5 years in our youth group and was recorded as part of a demo single in spring 2009.

Every decision I make
Every situation I face
I am free when I see it's you that I'm seeking
Driven to honor you my purpose in life is this:
To glorify!

It's all about you and it's not about me
The words that I speak
The songs that I sing
Are for your fame
To bless your name
In my success, Lord, remind me of this

That it's all about you and it's not about me
In wealth and in weakness
It's all the same
I love your name
Despite all pain
And when I forget Lord remind me of this

That it's all about you
And it's not about me

I'm called to deny myself
I count all things lost as gain
I am free when I see it's you that I'm seeking
Driven to honor you my purpose in life is this:
To glorify!

It's all about you and it's not about me
The words that I speak
The songs that I sing
Are for your fame
To bless your name
In my success, Lord, remind me of this

That it's all about you and it's not about me
In wealth and in weakness
It's all the same
I love your name
Despite all pain
And when I forget Lord remind me of this

That it's all about you
And it's not about me

It's all for your glory
It's all for you are worthy
(repeat)

Driven to honor you my purpose in life
Driven to honor you my purpose in life
Driven to honor you my purpose in life is this:  to glorify.
