Daniel and Jess Hammond say ""We were on the verge of moving into a new building and a new season in the life of our church. Daniel in particular, had been chewing over the biblical idea that songs were written for special occasions (Ps 30, Ps 92) and had felt compelled to attempt to write a song to be used for the opening of the new building. The church name is One Community church, so from there came a unified cry that God would take us forward as one people into the purposes he had for the future. A unified cry, not only for our own 'church' but for also for 'The Church' : 'one voice, one Hope, one song of freedom'."
