John Green
My name is John Green. Along with my wife Helen, I have been involved in various aspects of worship ministry over the years, from running sound, to worship leading. Worship songwriting has become a major focus over the last 10 years. We make our songs available to churches and artists through our Recent Rainfall website, God has been opening doors, and our songs have appeared on albums released by March For Jesus and Worship Leader Magazine's Song Discovery. I get a lot of enjoyment being able to use my songwriting to point hearts to the One who is worthy of all our praise.
This song was written as a prayer put to music. If we get close to the heart of God and learn His ways, then everything else will fall into place.

Thanks to Song Quest for giving my song a chance to be heard!
Sean Hill from the band Ambright sang on this recording, and played most of the instruments. Sean is multi-talented, often leading worship while playing drums. I wanted to give him credit for making the song sound so good. |

Like the message of this song. Great to point all the glory to God for being able to rise above ourselves and shine for God! Great hook. Med rock groove is cool. Guitars may be a little forward at times. But it's a great song. Love the guitar work on the verse. Very accomplished player. Nice job.
